Solana on the Rise After Positive Helium News

Helium Network, a communications protocol, has announced that it will migrate to the Solana blockchain on the 27th of March, along with the deployment of oracles, to improve scalability and reliability. The current Helium blockchain will be halted for 24 hours during the transition, while Proof-of-Coverage and data transfer activities will remain unaffected.

A working group of volunteers from the community will oversee the migration process. HNT and MOBILE token holders do not need to take any action to participate in the upgrade. The migration benefits include more of its native token being available to subDAO reward pools, improved mining, and more reliable data transfer and ecosystem support.

Helium creator Nova Labs also announced last September that it has partnered with T-Mobile to launch a crypto-powered mobile service that allows subscribers to earn crypto rewards for sharing data about coverage quality and Helium dead-spot locations nationwide.

The price of Solana has risen by 30% due to high sales volumes of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and anticipation surrounding Helium's migration to the Solana blockchain. The move to Solana will enable Helium to focus on expanding its hotspot network and wireless protocols instead of sustaining its blockchain.
